Christmas in Torremolinos 2025: Lighting Ceremony, Events & Full Programme

Christmas in Torremolinos 2025 will shine brighter than ever. This year, the town welcomes the season with more than 60 activities, a completely renewed Christmas lighting display, and a very special guest: Luz Casal, who will switch on the Christmas lights on 6th December.

From festive markets to concerts, parades, children’s shows and the traditional Three Kings Parade, Torremolinos becomes one of the most vibrant Christmas destinations on the Costa del Sol.

⭐ Luz Casal kicks off Christmas on 6th December

Spanish singer Luz Casal has been chosen as the Star of Christmas 2025 in Torremolinos.
Her musical performance and the official lighting ceremony will take place on 6th December at 20:00, following an inaugural parade departing from Plaza San Miguel.

The Town Hall has organised a diverse programme designed for all ages, with the collaboration of local associations, cultural groups, parishes and brotherhoods.

💡 Christmas Lights in Torremolinos 2025

This year, Torremolinos unveils a renewed lighting display featuring more than 1.3 million LED lights, ensuring energy efficiency and a lower environmental impact.

The Christmas decorations cover the main neighbourhoods and areas of the town, including:

  • La Carihuela

  • Bajondillo

  • El Calvario

  • Centro

  • El Pinillo & Cantarranas

  • Montemar Alto

  • Los Palacios

  • Playamar & Los Álamos

  • Plaza Costa del Sol

  • Various roundabouts and urbanisations

✨ Highlights of the Christmas lighting

  • 3D figures in Plaza Vicente Aleixandre and Plaza Blas Infante

  • Illuminated motifs along Avenida Isabel Manoja and Bulevar Marifé de Triana

  • 4-metre almond-tree figures in Plaza de la Nogalera, Pasaje Pizarro and Plaza Chiriva

  • Artistic Christmas trees, including:

    • A 20-metre tree in Plaza Costa del Sol

    • 6-metre trees in Plaza Andalucía and Plaza Pablo Ruiz Picasso

🎅 Christmas Programme: Key Events in Torremolinos 2025

🎉 23th November – Start of the Christmas activities

The programme officially begins on 23 November and extends until 5 January.

🎄 6th December – Inaugural Parade & Lighting Ceremony

  • 19:00 – Parade from Plaza San Miguel

  • Arrival at Plaza Costa del Sol with a performance by the Carmen Crespo Dance School

  • 20:00 – Luz Casal switches on the lights and performs live

  • After the concert: Zambombá flamenca by Familia Ballesteros (Avenida Palma de Mallorca)

🎁 Christmas Market

Open 6 December to 2 January on Avenida Palma de Mallorca.

🧶 27th November – Crochet Christmas Tree

Created by the Torremolinos Crochet Association.
Location: Plaza Blas Infante at 18:00, with performances by various local music groups.

🎠 Municipal Nativity Scene

New location: Centro de Desarrollo Comunitario Isabel Manoja.
Inauguration: 4th December – 18:30.

🌟 Musical “Aladdin”

  • 7th December – 12:00

  • Auditorio Municipal Príncipe de Asturias

  • Free entry (app registration required)

🏍️ 13th December – Toy Run Solidarity Ride

Organised by Komando Amimoto to collect toys for families in need.

Performed by the Málaga Symphony Orchestra at the Municipal Auditorium.

A private reception for children with functional diversity will take place from 16:00 to 17:00 at the Town Hall (registration required via the Torremolinos Despega App).
